Amazon Announces 2025 Updates to FBA Fees in Europe with Key Reductions and Simplified Rates

Amazon has shared important updates to its Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) and referral fees for 2025 across its European stores. The goal is to make its pricing structure more straightforward while reducing costs for sellers.

Here’s a breakdown of the key changes and what they mean for businesses using Amazon’s platform.

Amazon Fee Reductions for FBA Services

Effective February 1, 2025, Amazon will lower average FBA fulfillment fees for parcels and oversized items in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. Along with this, fee structures for oversized products will be overhauled. The changes include:

✅ Simplifying weight-size tiers for oversized items, reducing them from 28 bands to 17.

✅ Introducing a base rate for oversized products with flat-rate increments per kilogram.

✅ Rolling out a new envelope tier for lightweight packages to make costs more predictable.

Beyond these adjustments, Amazon will reduce the minimum referral fees for large, heavy items from £25/€25 to £20/€20. This initiative aims to offer sellers a more cost-effective way to handle bulky or challenging inventory.

Simplified and Transparent Fee Structures

Amazon is further working on simplifying its fee structure to enhance user understanding.

Sellers can expect improvements to fee calculators and preview tools in 2025. These enhanced tools aim to make it easier for sellers to estimate costs, optimize pricing, and improve their business operations.

Targeted Incentives for New Products

Starting January 15, 2025, Amazon will expand incentives under its FBA New Selection program and New Seller Incentive program. These time-limited discounts will support targeted growth by encouraging sellers to add high-demand, low-selection products. Discounts will also apply to daily essentials and popular brands, helping sellers introduce new inventory with reduced upfront costs.

Other Notable Changes

Several operational fees will be adjusted to align with Amazon’s overall costs. Changes include updates to monthly storage fees, return handling charges, and a surcharge for long-term aged inventory stored for 241 to 270 days.
