Amazon Brand Registry
Beat the Competition Under the Aegis of Amazon Brand Registry Program
WHAT IS AMAZON BRAND REGISTRY?
Amazon Brand Registry is a suite of tools designed to assist brands with protecting their intellectual property and product content from infringement. The program grants a brand direct control over all their detail pages and gives access to advanced security tools. Additionally, it greatly expands the seller’s marketing and advertising toolkit, allowing you to utilize Amazon’s potential to the fullest.
WHY IS AMAZON BRAND REGISTRY IMPORTANT?
Brand Protection
Unscrupulous sellers may harm the reputation and sales of your products in numerous ways. They can sell counterfeit versions of your products, engage in false advertising or even alter the contents of your listings. The potential issues are equally numerous: customer dissatisfaction, loss of sales, Amazon ranking downgrade and legal issues won’t be long in coming. Enrolling in Amazon Brand Registry safeguards your brand against these threats. The registry helps prevent counterfeit product sales and unauthorized changes to listings. It also enables you to take swift action against infringers, thereby preserving your reputation and ensuring a safer shopping experience for customers.
Authority and Trust
The line between registered and unregistered Amazon sellers might not be immediately visible, but it becomes pretty apparent when legitimacy is concerned. The status of a registered brand works miracles to your brand's authority and trustworthiness. Customers tend to view such brands as more legitimate and transparent, which helps build trust and loyalty. High conversion rates, repeat purchases and positive word-of-mouth recommendations are all benefits of such a status. In addition to that, Amazon has a separate Seller Support team for those enrolled in the Brand Registry Program. It’s another marker that proves Amazon’s recognition.
Comprehensive Analytics
Brands enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry have access to in-depth analytics that provide useful insights on a wide range of metrics. This goes way beyond what regular sellers receive, offering more detailed info on customer behavior, sales performance, advertising effectiveness and overall brand visibility. Given that information has become the most valuable resource, letting volumes of it slip away sounds like a big waste. Data-driven decisions prove to be more productive, and it’s much easier to detect growth opportunities when you have the full picture.
Expanded Toolkit
Enrollment in Amazon Brand Registry opens the door to a multitude of additional benefits and tools. Registered brands gain access to A+ Content, Amazon Storefronts, Sponsored Brand and Display Ads, Amazon Posts, Amazon Vine, Brand Catalog Manager and many other tools (we elaborate on these benefits further into the page). If you want to leverage every opportunity to boost conversions and build brand loyalty, we strongly recommend against missing out on so many of them.
HOW TO ENROLL IN AMAZON BRAND REGISTRY?
Brand Registry is a program only meant for brand owners. You need to meet Amazon Brand Registry Requirements and won’t be able to enroll if you simply resell items from other brands.
Step 1: Creating a Brand Registry Account
The first step towards applying for Amazon Brand Registry is to create an account. To do so, you need to visit the official Brand Registry Portal and sign up. The application must be submitted by the trademark owner. It is important to use the same email as for your Seller Central Account (if you have one).
Step 2: Enrolling Your Brand
Once you’ve created your Brand Registry account, the next step is to enroll your brand. Sign in to your Brand Registry account and provide the information requested:
Remember, the trademark for your brand must be a text-based mark or an image-based mark with words, letters or numbers. As part of this step, you’ll be asked to upload images of your products, packaging, and logos to help Amazon accurately identify and protect your brand.
Step 3: Verification and Activation
The final step in the application process is verification and activation. After you’ve submitted all the required information, Amazon will validate it within 2 to 10 days. Amazon will then send a unique, random code to the public contact listed on your trademark registration. You’ll need to provide this code back to the Brand Registry to authorize your application. Once the code is verified, Amazon will activate your Brand Registry account, which usually occurs within 1-2 working days after code verification.
Optional Step: Assigning Role
If you want to delegate part of the work to your dealers, partners or contractors, you might want to share the Rights Owner Role with them. Doing so will grant them access to the tools that Brand Registry provides.

WHAT BENEFITS DOES AMAZON BRAND REGISTRY GRANT?
Amazon Brand Registry offers a suite of tools and features that provide immense value to brand owners, helping them protect their intellectual property, enhance their brand visibility, and optimize their selling strategies. Here’s a deep dive into the benefits of these features:
Access to A+ Content
Amazon Brand Registry users gain access to A+ Content, which allows for creating interactive and enriched content for product listings. This includes several customized modules such as charts and lifestyle images that come in very handy for highlighting unique selling features and conveying brand stories. A+ Content has been shown to increase conversion rates on listings by at least 7-11%, which makes it a proven performance booster.
Amazon Storefront
Amazon Storefront allows brands to create a mini-version of their own website directly on the platform. With an Amazon Store, brands can showcase their product catalog in a customizable and organized manner and even add videos under the images on their listings, demonstrating their products in action. Amazon Storefront doesn’t display any ads from your competitors, which makes it much easier to win customers’ undivided attention.
Sponsored Brand and Display Ads
Registered brands gain access to Sponsored Brand and Display Ads. Sponsored Brand Ads appear at the top of detail pages, increasing product visibility and driving discovery. Sponsored Display Ads can attract new customers, increase traffic to your listings and promote cross-selling. Using a combination of these ad formats is sure to bring about a significant increase in conversion rates.
Brand Catalog Manager
Brand Catalog Manager provides information on potential pricing competitiveness, Prime eligibility, in-stock rate, listings needing A+ content or missing detail page items, listings with less than five reviews, and any negative reviews on the brand. It is a comprehensive tool for gathering data on and managing product listings.
Amazon Brand Analytics
This feature significantly expands the scope of data you can work with. It provides invaluable insights into search terms, popular search phrases, most clicked products for each search term, customer demographics, and customer behavior. The more data you have, the better the decisions you can make.
Manage Your Experiments
This tool allows registered sellers to run A/B tests on their A+ content, product titles, and product images. By comparing two versions of content, you can determine which one performs better and make relevant adjustments, ultimately driving more customers, conversions and sales.
Amazon Posts
This feature is akin to a social media feed within Amazon, allowing brands to repurpose existing content to engage relevant audiences and boost product visibility. It is a powerful tool for enhancing brand awareness and engagement.
Amazon Vine
Amazon Vine facilitates unbiased communication between selected reviewers and enrolled sellers. Brands can submit their products to get reviews, which is beneficial for ranking in the Amazon search and guiding potential buyers.
Virtual Bundles Tool
Available to brand-registered US sellers, this tool allows users to bundle 2-5 complementary products to be sold from a single product detail page. Bundles often come with discounts, which can persuade reluctant customers to make a buying decision.
